Here it is people! The super overpriced God of War 3: Ultimate edition that isn’t worth the price of admission. Should I have put a spoiler at the beginning of this post? I’m a huge fan of the God of War series so it was a no-brainer that I would be picking up this “super” collectors edition. Honestly, I would have been more happy with my purchase if it was 30 dollars cheaper. Oh well, you live and you learn. Enjoy the video and be sure to leave some feedback! I’ll be decapitating people in the mean time.

I will preface this post with this; I am not a Stargate nut. I have seen the original movie, a few of the other ‘made for DVD’ movies, and collectively, probably, 10 episodes of any of the other Stargate television series.

With that said, I love Stargate. And saying that leaves me in a slight state of shock.

The Gaming Godfather Chaotic: Shadow Warriors review

Posted by The Gaming Godfather On January - 3 - 2010   ZERO COMMENTS | 12 views

First, there was Magic the Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! video games.  Now we have the chance to play Chaotic as a video game (cue scary music).  After experiencing countless card games and watching a few episodes of the Chaotic cartoon, I was excited.  The possibilities of powerful armies.  Harnessing harmful and helpful musical magic known as mugic.  Arming my creatures with battlegear from a wide array of an arsenal.  Then, came time to play the game.  My hopes were high.  After my time with the game was over, my hopes and dreams for the game were dashed to pieces, stomped into sand, and incinerated into ash.

Ryan Wilson Review: Have Yourself A Meaty Little Christmas

Have Yourself a Meaty Little ChristmasAlready with two video games and a theatrical release (with another movie rumored for late next year), this isn’t Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s first foray out of the TV medium.  Adult Swim’s longest running show pulls off the unimaginable in Have Yourself A Meaty Little Christmas: an entertaining, if not completely blasphemous, new Christmas album.

Deliverator Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 : A Review

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

This is my first time reviewing a game, and honestly most games don’t leave a strong enough impression that I have something to say about them.  Not so with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.  This is a game which I have eagerly waited for since I finished Ninja Gaiden Sigma.  This game had me considering buying a 360.  Now that I have it, and have played it, beaten it, etc; here are my thoughts.

Jamie Gibson A Brit Late – Halo 3: ODST

I was excited when Halo 3 ODST was initially announced. A new campaign with new characters and weapons where you’re not Master Chief again? Awesome! It was later revealed that ODST wouldn’t be available as DLC, only on disc. Okay, kind of a dick move but I can work with it. Then finally Microsoft revealed that the game would retail at the same price as any other brand new Xbox 360 game. By this point I’d lost interest. There was no way I was going to pay full price for what I saw (and still see) as an expansion pack. Luckily, thanks to being a master of the art of tightgittery, I finally ended up getting my hands on ODST after lending it from a friend while he lent Red Faction: Guerrilla. Now that I’ve had the game on my hands for nearly two weeks now and after playing as much as I can, it’s time for A Brit Late. Just a note before I go into the review though. I’m only reviewing the campaign disc for two reasons because a)My friend is still using the multiplayer disc regularly and b)It’s just Halo 3 multiplayer, which you can easily find out about elsewhere. Hit the jump for my review of ODST.

Now, how am I going to get all the way over there?

Now, how am I going to get all the way over there?

Who needs Lara Croft and her giant t…ombs?  I’m willing to put money down that more people would prefer Nathan Drake and that big dagger.  This game may not be completely spotless especially when the game is sporting a de-railed traing climbing, cliched trap disabling, run-and-gunning treasure hunter by the name of Nathan Drake.  But, if this game was spotless, then it wouldn’t be worth talking about.

Ryan Wilson Review: Torchlight

Torchlight (PC)Admittedly, this is a review a long time in the making.  Why is that?

I just couldn’t put it down.

The Gaming Godfather Dissidia, a Misdirected Idea

Posted by The Gaming Godfather On October - 27 - 2009   ZERO COMMENTS | 13 views

I’m going on record here stating that I am ready for the scopes of Final Fantasy fan boys and girls Hate Guns to be aimed at my head.  After sighting the opening cinematic, my hopes for this fighting game that harnesses characters usually taking turns of taking and inflicting pain.  Wonderful visuals, colorful characters, intense combat, and an amazing storyline.  But, I got into the actual game.  I dare not bash this game, because I find very few things wrong with Dissidia: Final Fantasy.  In my honest and humbled opinion, Dissidia: FF, should not have been created as a video game but rather an animated full length film.

A few changes and I could see this as a movie poster...

Decapitation!  This is the word roared by Eddie Riggs when he takes out his first and last boss within Brutal Legend.  Why talk about the beheading and de-tonguing of a giant worm and the defeat of a horned S&M four-necked guitar playing demon when there is so much caught in the crossfire?  Unleash an army of head bangers, fight against the girl you love, pimp out your Druid Plow, and crank up the volume as your rock out to some of the most metal music ever to be heard!  Give me a “Hell Yea!” if you want a game that will blow your mind, kick start your heart, and melt your face.

Just another fun time to be found in Brutal Legend

Adam Dork Review: Samus Sexy in Plastic Form

Giant Metroid, friend or foe?!

Being an avid Metroid fan as well as a collector, I often scour the innerness for pieces of Samus memorabilia. Usually I am not looking to spend a lot of money but as soon as I saw this piece, I knew I had to have it. Of course I was delayed in purchasing it but I was able to get one before they were shipped out. Now having received it, I’ll let you know if it was worth it.

Here’s a story about a lucky lad, who was befriended by three enchanting people.  The lad had hair kind of like gold, but no one was in curls.  Instead, all were involved with a thirty-five year long trial involving a small kingdom, a magical crown, and plans of world domination!  Yes, a small child is placed in charge of not only ruling over an entire kingdom, but with the not so little task of conquering the world.  Is this an odd game?  Yes.  Is this a good game?  You didn’t think I would tell you that so soon, did you?

Jamie Gibson MWN Reviews – Batman: Arkham Asylum

batman

Batman has had better luck than most when it’s come to video games. While Batman has also had his fair share of bat-crap, games like Batman on NES and Batman Returns on SNES/Mega Drive have saved him from the suffering that has faced other comic book heroes such as Superman for an extreme example. That being said, It’s unusual to go into a comic book game with excitement but after playing the Batman: Arkham Asylum demo, that’s what I had personally. Well, me and Nikmonroe have the game and we’re going to tell just exactly what we think about it. So hit the jump for our review of Batman: Arkham Asylum before we set Killer Croc on you.

Adam Dork District 9 – Spoiler Free Review

district 9 poster

Is the secret of District 9 another summer movie dud or movie stud?

Seemingly out of nowhere, District 9 has come to theaters all over the country. Lack of hype might lead the masses to believe this will just be another bad film in the long list of awful summer movies of 2009. Will this fall down with the likes of Transformers 2 and Terminator 4, or will it rise up and show big movie makers how to make a movie?
