Brad Holman Help! My Mom’s on Facebook!

Posted by Brad Holman On March - 17 - 2010   ZERO COMMENTS | 91 views

I think it’s rather funny that today the Shogun posts Def Leppard as the MCoM since the band in this video is trying really hard to be them. Anyways, funny video on how Facebook changed once it opened up to more than just college students. This is basically how I felt as soon as I learned my mom was on Facebook, but thankfully, she’s not nearly as bad as the mom in this video. Enjoy.

Dun duun duuuuun, da da! boom boom boom boom....booom, duuuuh daaaaaa daaaaaaaaaaaaah dah dAAAAH, doooo da dooooooo etc..

The Apple iPad has finally received a release date today. The much maligned piece of consumer electronics from the company famous for expensive, yet sexy hardware will be releasing the iPad to the unwashed masses of America next month on the 3rd of April.

Travis Pastrana, the guy who essentially has invented doing backflips in all sorts of machinery that wasn’t meant to do so has done it again. This time, he flips his Nitro Circus monster truck…no seriously. the truck does a complete backflip and survives the ordeal. I’m impressed, hence the post.

I read an article today talking about how Halo will Teabag MW2 and thought to myself, “Do I really care that much to write up a response article.”

The answer is yes, yes I do. So I put together a list of 5 reason why Halo is destroying the youth of this great nation. Hit the jump to see why they need to stop making Halo games.

Michael Moore, eat your heart out.

Apparently this game is made out of solid gold...plastic?

Well, if you were like me, and watched “The Daily Show” or “Colbert Report” on Hulu you’re out of luck.  Viacom and Hulu couldn’t come to an agreement over the weekend on advertising money and Viacom is pulling the plug on it’s shows being with the growing new Internet star.

Quite possibly one of the coolest videogame related videos I’ve seen in a long time. Bravo to the creators of this for capturing the essence of a MGS game while using nothing but props and fingers.

If you hate me after listening to this video, I don’t blame you. But it was one of those things that was so bad I had to share it with all you, my fans. And the comments on the actual Vimeo link are priceless. You have to read them. Enjoy.

Ain’t it cute? Kids, the music is from a old crooner that goes by the name Tom Jones…he’s probably the reason your parents got it on in the first place.

Xopher Reed Dante’s Inferno – Super Bowl Ad

Posted by Xopher Reed On February - 2 - 2010   ZERO COMMENTS | 11 views

Screw watching the SuperBowl and the commercials in-between, we gamers demand instant gratification! You can now watch the ad for Dante’s Inferno right now. I still think this game is a must have for any gamer out there. We had a hands-on at PAX this year and the game plays like God of War on steroids…plus, c’mon the main villain is Satan himself!

Ryan Wilson Pee-Wee Herman Weighs in on the iPad

In a time where iPad jokes rarely stretch outside the “sanitary pad” realm, Pee-Wee Herman (Paul Reubens) and the Playhouse crew bring us some original humor, making their relevance known again.

Ryan Wilson 25 Days of Christmas (Carol): Day 13

Posted by Ryan Wilson On December - 13 - 2009   ZERO COMMENTS | 14 views

Star Wars: A Christmas CarolAdaptation number 13 is one of many Star Wars fan tribute videos from 2002, Star Wars: A Christmas Carol.  Darth Vader takes the role of Scrooge this time around, with Jar Jar Binks, Jabba the Hutt, and Boba Fett playing the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future respectively.  The animation feels very amateur, the characters seem to glide instead of walk, and talking comes off very jerky (think CD-i  Mario cutscenes to understand what I mean).  The voice acting is no better, making one wonder how this short film made it as a Star Wars Fan Film Awards finalist.  But, despite its faults, its short length makes sure that this adaptation doesn’t overstay its welcome.  If you have a spare 10 minutes, its worth a watch, but leave your expectations at the door.

Ryan Wilson New Iteration of Civilization Coming to Facebook

Civilization NetworkSid Meier announced today to a drooling CivFanatics forum that Firaxis Games will soon be looking for beta testers for Civilization Network, a new version of the popular series set to be released as a Facebook application.  With a current loose release date of 2010, Civilization Network will include both a single player and a co-op/competitive multiplayer experience that will try to include all the features you know and love from previous iterations.  Additional news and beta test details will be posted on the game’s Facebook page, located here.  The series’ turn based play style should be a welcome addition to the sporadically visited social network.
