Ok you’ve taken the first step in admitting that you might want to be a whore. First let me ask, do you think your opinion matters? Do you honestly have something that you think people need or would want to hear?

Well then bub, let me tell you something…

MediaWhoreNetwork is a tight-knit community of strongly opinionated individuals that are tired of the same old bullshit that the Internet has to offer. Most of us here have written on other peoples’ blogs that were solely one-topic, and one topic alone. That old real quick, we got tired of writing about the same shit every day. That’s where MediaWhore was conceived…

NOT JUST NEWS

We don’t want to be your typical news site, there’s dozens if not hundreds of other sites for shit like that. Hell, most sites that post news, just simply re-post news they grabbed from another website. When we post news, we give it the good ol’ Fox News treatment and make it ‘fair and balanced’. In other words, we’ll post that news but put our spin on it. That’s where our site’s entertainment comes from.

REVIEWS ARE OPINIONS

First off, we don’t assign scores to our reviews, you’ll never get a ‘blank out of blank’, a percentage, or even a grading scale. There’s no way in hell we’ll ever become your one source for reviews. We’d like to be, but it’s such an uphill battle…you want numbers? Take your ass to Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes, or IGN where most the sites listed are on company payrolls for their favorable scores.

What we provide here is pure opinion, the closest thing to a score you’ll ever see is a “buy it, try it, or avoid it” rating…even then you should take it lightly because we’re all opinionated assholes here. What we want is to be YOUR source of entertainment. Our site’s one and only creed is that each article be entertaining, that’s it.

If you can’t handle that, then this isn’t your site.

If you’re looking for a paying writing gig, come back in a few years when the site pays for itself. All of us here work for free, for the sake of our readership and our community, we get nothing out of it besides Internet notoriety. All I can do is provide the soapbox on which to stand on and the community to preach it to. Oh and swag. Sometimes passes to events. We’re pirates like that…just because we don’t write ‘news’ doesn’t mean that we can’t be considered a ‘news’ site (HAHAHA!).
