New Halo: Reach Screenshots

Considering I’ve already posted the concept art for Halo: Reach this week, me posting even more screenshots for this game should be a sign to all of you of how excited I am for this game’s release. Bungie has been really awesome and forthcoming with tons of screen grabs from the in-game engine…and they’re effin’ hot!
You Know Things Are Bad: When Nintendo Disses Your Handheld
Your First Look at Vanquish
Morning Cup o’ Music
Man, the Deftones have come a long way in a relatively short time. If you listened to their first albums, Adrenaline/Around The Fur, and compared it to their more recent work like their Self-Titled/Saturday Night Wrist albums, you can easily see that Chino has grown as a vocalist. Their early stuff was awesome but still very nu-metal, now they still have a very hard edge but also a greatly enhanced sound…showing that they’ve learned tons in their 12+ years making music.
The song I’m posting today isn’t really on any of their albums because it was on The Crow: City of Angels Soundtrack…I remember listening to “Teething” for the first time and just being floored with how fast and aggressive the song was. If you’ve never seen the movie, you’re better off (except for Iggy Pop being a villain), but the soundtrack is fucking amazing…get it, now.
Zelda, Don’t Go Into The Light!!!

If you were alive in the 80s then I’m sure you’ve seen at least one iteration of the Poltergeist movies since your birth. If you remember the psychic lady from the first movie who urged Carol Anne “Don’t go into the light!” then you might be a little saddened to learn that Zelda Rubenstein shuffled off this mortal coil yesterday at the age of 76.
The Trekker *GASP* Heard ‘Round the World

No, it’s not a joke about how most of us Sci-Fi fans tend to have a little bit more dough around the midsection, which sometimes makes breathing strained because of the same weight pushing down on our lungs and spreading our rib-cages…It’s about the apparent controversy that stirred for about a half hour as Zachary Quinto was quoted about not wanting to touch the Star Trek franchise for 2 years.
God of War III Dated

Psst, in case you were wondering, Kratos will be set loose on March 16. That’s right, God of War III is going to be dropped onto the PS3 platform in mid-march. If you’re one of the millions of fence sitters when it comes to getting a PS3, this should help tip towards the “buy” impulse. It’s a day one for me, especially after playing the demo that came with District 9.
My Third Helping of Avatar
Now You Can Shout “GET OUTTA MA PUB!” Too, Thanks to Home

Say, have you ever been drowning your sorrows in a pub one night after you found out your wife was having an affair and thought “Man, I wish owned a pub so that I could have smashed her face in with a barrel”? Well you might just be in luck my friend, thanks to our friends at VEEMEE and Sony. Yes now, you too can have your very own London pub*!
Classic Activision on GoG…NOW!

Perusing the GoG website this morning, I noticed that they’ve now started adding classic Activision PC games to their library. This is magical news to retro-tards like me, this just got really real…especially for the few games they’ve announced and what may come in the future. All I can say right now is…HELL YEAH Gabriel Knight!
Morning Cup o’ Music
Man, this song takes me back to the late 90s when Junkie XL was a relative unknown here in America. If you went back and listened to the album this came off of, Saturday Teenage Kick, you’d probably recognize more than a few of the tracks, as they’ve been pretty widely proliferated on TV, movies, games, etc.
Billy Club may be the most well known off of the album (well at least for me it is) considering there was a single available before the full-length was released. The most surprising thing for me is that this was a Big Beat album released on Roadrunner Records of all places…you know where most of the Nu-Metal groups that were good were featured. Anyways, I hope you enjoy today’s track. It was always good for amping me up for something.
Naughty Bear’s Coming Together Nicely

Last year, Gibbo touched on Naughty Bear coming out on the PS3 and the Xbox 360…well today, we’ve got some box art for you and two videos to give you a clue of what the game promises to contain. I personally can’t wait for this game to come out. I mean, c’mon, it’s an in-cold-blood-murdering-teddy-bear game…that my friends is an awesome concept!
Resonance of Fate – Opening
Initial Impression: Mass Effect 2

I heard there was a small game that came out this week called Mass Effect 2. Intrigued by all the trailers and commercials I saw while trying to enjoy my naked football sundays, I ambled over to my local Wal-Mart to pick said game up and try it out. Figured it couldn’t hurt, didn’t have much else to do right? Might as well shoot some aliens and hit on some hot digital chicks. How bad can it be??
Well let me say this, I’m three hours into the game and already, it is my favorite RPG on the 360, maybe of this generation. Hit the link to see the rest of my initial thoughts.

President of Nintendo (Satoru Iwata) in an interview with the New York Times recently commented on Apple’s newest creation, the iPad. Coming from the game company to be the first to really stabilize and sensationalize the handheld market, this could be bad.
